It has been several years since we last reviewed the Canterbury Brook Inn located in Cornwall. The restaurant is located, virtually, steps away from the Cornwall traffic circle.
On this visit we decided to try the Tuesday-Thursday Dinner Special. It is a three course dinner: soup or salad, entree, and dessert with coffee or tea. We had the beef goulash soup which was very good. It was tasty with an excellent soup base and pieces of beef. We ordered the pork schnitzel and the chicken Marsala. The pork schnitzel was excellent. The pork was cooked to perfection. The chicken Marsala is not as good as their other entrees, and we have dined there many many times and have tasted most of their entrees. The chicken Marsala was not prepared the Italian way. We did not expect it to be, after all, the Canterbury Brook Inn is not an Italian restaurant. Regardless, the chicken Marsala was disappointing and there was not much chicken Marsala. I was still very hungry.
There is a small parking lot in the rear of the restaurant. When the lot is full it can be difficult to maneuver a large automobile. There is on street parking. Another item to be aware is that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Many times, the restaurant is crowded. Thus, arrive early. It is a popular restaurant.
We had a good server.
