I'm not an expert when it comes to hotels in the Philippines but I wouldn't recommend this. Overall this place was overpriced and not worth the money. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. One egg, toast and spam? Powdered creamier for the coffee? Other reviewers RAVED about the breakfast at this place so I had high expectations and I didn't mind the somewhat high price tag because I figured I was also paying for the breakfast. But the breakfast sucked (although the Pirates cafe was kinda cute).

Good bed and very beautiful building otherwise. However I wouldn't pay for the sea view because there's a huge dock blocking the view.

Dear Ms. Tasha,

Greetings!

We would like to extend our appreciation for taking the time to review our establishment. We value each feed back from our guests as these will help us to improve our service and our facility. We apologize for not meeting your expectations during your stay. We were surprised about your comment on the breakfast since we received good reviews from other guests but we will relay this to our restaurant operation for handling and consideration.

Thank you for staying with us and we hope to have an opportunity to share light with you again in the future.

Kind Regards,

Jeffrey E. Ritumalta

We had an overnight stay here in time for a triathlon event. The hotel had a modern style, with clean lines and design. The room was spacious enough and had the usual hotel amenities. There was enough natural light coming in through the windows, which did not warm the room too much. The air conditioning unit was easy to control. The television set was a latest model, and beside it was the tv channel guide. There was complimentary water, too.

Pros: 1- one window opens up to a small balcony overlooking Waterfront Ave.
2- the shower area was big enough and the toilet had a bidet; hot water was readily available
3- there was a 7-11 convenience store just outside the lobby entrance
4- the hotel was located strategicalky close to various restaurants

Cons: 1- the towels looked really old and not too clean (looked almost grey instead of white); best to bring your own towels
2- shower needs an enclosure or curtain as the floor outside gets wet when you shower
3-bathroom sink countertop is too small, no space for toiletry kit
4- no elevators; if you come with older family/friends, best to request for rooms on the lower floors

All in all, a very good stay where you get your money's worth. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

- modern design
- simple yet clean amenities
- price is reasonable
- location is accessible to Olongapo shopping district, Subic attractions
- however, no direct booking thru hotel website which could be more convenient

Room Tip: there's no lift, but its a low rise hotel, using staircase is healthy!

The hotel was modern, clean and we got a nice view of the big ships docked at the port. Staff was nice except the people at the reception seemed unaware of places to visit in subic. They don't know what to recommend.. lacked orientation probably. Overall we rated the place 8/10.

I'd recommend the REEF HOTEL to anyone looking for a cool place to relax. Also the restaurant and Spa next door were very nice as well...
