Seorabeol Grand Leisure Hotel
Reviewed 11 December 2017

We had a 2 day conference at their Grand Ballroom - Busan Hall. There's Subic Hall at the side. Not sure if they have more but this would be a small venue for a whole company outing of a 1000.

Rooms were okay but they dont have slippers (but I didnt ask if they do upon request hehe). At that time, I just had my sandals for the confe as my footwear so when in the room, I was barefooted which was fine with me.
They provide new towels and toiletries everywhere. No newspapers at the door but theyre available at the concierge.

They have a pool but not sure ehy there wasnt a lifeguard and anyone swimming during our 2 day stay there. I think it's child friendly because it has 2 ft deep side.

Their in-house cafe and bar, Nicco's is where we have a breakfast buffet and have lunch & dinner cooked. It's small area (we have our lunch and dinner served at the conference hall). I thought they serve Korean cuisine but no haha they usually serve Filipino food and there's only 2-3 viands to choose from. Drinks are also limited to coffee, iced tea, juice.

Our seminar needed us to connect to the internet but this hotel did not have a good wi-fi connection for us. Not everyone was able to connect at the hall during the conference. At the room, we didnt have wi-fi also. But then again we didnt ask. What we all enjoyed was the karaoke setup at the conference hall during our first night for socialization among participants.

I liked its location because we can easily walk to the shores, and outside of the base to the main road. Just infront of it was a 7eleven open 24/7. Roads at night are well-lit especially this season with Christmas decors and lights.

-Shaded pool (This is rare! No need to worry about your kids getting sunburn. 5 thumbs up here.)
-walking distance to the Subic Bay beach for your family pictures and morning stroll
-Royal grocery store just around the corner
-near 711 and MiniStop convenience stores
-night gimmicks/restobars/fine Chinese dining on the other side of the road
-very satisfying breakfast buffet (omelet, toasted bread, corn flake cereals, coffee, chicken, corned beef, melon/watermelon/papaya slices, daing na bangus, plain rice)
-Covered parking may always be full but there's a secured vacant lot (not shaded) at the back or along the one-way road just in front of the hotel to accommodate for more cars.

The conference was in the Grand Ballroom of this boutique hotel. The entrance was not very grand coming directly from the carpark where the parking spaces were a bit tight. The ballroom itself was ok, good airconditioning, stable sound system, wide screen and projector worked perfectly. The food service was generous and just right. The totel itself looks old. The restrooms could use better maintenance.

Amidst the long weekends in August 2017, we booked a family room two weeks prior because I knew it would be fully-booked soon. The website and pictures were pretty accurate. The staff responded immediately both through text and email.

When we get there, the staff was just as amazing in person as they were online.

Everything you may want from a get-away was here. Room is comfortable, cozy with hot and cold shower (this is important to me because I have a 68-year old and a 4-year old with me). The hotel was complete of amenities, too, the highlight of which was their swimming pools. A lifeguard was constantly present. I liked him because he was really doing his job. He was specially observant towards kids and cautious towards the symptoms of hypothermia.

Their swimming pools were clean, too. My only recommendation is that they should be more strict with guests not wearing appropriate swimming attire. I saw some kids jumping out of their cars and directly to the pools. They were not reprimanded. The pool water was cold, too, (cold not cool).

Nick's Restaurant was amazing. Because of the influx of guests, the staff were very busy but it didn't stop them from smiling and being respectful. Even towards teens, the staff were smiling and courteous. The food was delicious, even if the variety was limited. But it was quality over quantity.

Seorabeol is situation in Waterfront, Freeport Zone, an amazing location if you want to see something different. There are other restaurants in the area and if you walk a few meters away, you would see the captivating sea and mountains. Local ambulant vendors abound with trinkets and souvenirs. These items are cheaper (plus I know I help my fellows by buying their products).

All inquiries would be answered by its abled staff which can be contacted in their website.

Room Tip: Book rooms two weeks before. Family Rooms (good for 6-8 persons) are located only at the 3rd floor.
