We stayed at a nearby B & B and were referred to Bristol Harbour for lunch and the view.

The lunch was good, nice variety, but nothing special. The view however is awesome. If you sit outside the lake/ mountain view is knock out.

Great place for lunch, a glass of NY state wine and a wonderful view.

I can't speak to the balance of the facility, but it seemed clean and well maintained

My husband and I stayed at the Bristol Harbour Lodge in late June. The views are absolutely stunning! The room was nice with a wooden lodge feel. They have gas fireplaces for colder weather. My complaint about this place is that the service in the restaurant was painfully slow, both from the servers and getting the food out in a reasonable period of time. At breakfast, I had to get up and ask our server for coffee after asking the person who poured our water to refill our cups and she said she couldn't. It took over an hour after ordering to get eggs, bacon and toast and a yogurt parfait. Lunch was even slower. Servers regularly come into the dining area and don't look around. I was repeatedly waving my hand to get someone's attention, but no one would look up. It's as if they just don't care about service. For that reason, I wouldn't go again.

We hadn't been to Bristol Harbor in awhile so we decided to visit the lodge on a Friday night even though we were concerned that it might be pretty crowded. We were shocked to see the restaurant mostly empty on a beautiful night. We decided to first get a drink at the bar. There were two bartenders working; the customers at the bar were not even two deep. We were not greeted by anyone. Neither of the bartenders made eye contact with us. We waited patiently but after almost 10 minutes of being ignored at the bar, we walked out.

While playing this golf course for our anniversary, for the 2nd year in a row the "cafe" was out of sandwiches when we made the turn at 1 PM last Sunday. Pretty sad when a top rated resort such as this can't open the snack shack so golfers can grab a quick bite to eat. If you want much better amenities and for less than half the price, drive the extra 20 minutes to Reservoir Creek in Naples, you won't be disappointed.

Great location with a patio and restaurant with a view of lake Canandaigua, one of the finger lakes in upstate New York. Nice grounds, restaurants and a nice18 hole golf course. All modern amenities in a country setting. About an hour from Rochester and just over 2 hours from Canadian border crossing at Niagara Falls. While all the amenities were good the service at the restaurant was slow and there were errors in billing on checking out. They do not handle cash and everything has to be paid by credit card. Rather than billing to the room, each transaction has to be paid on the spot, and this is very cumbersome and is the main reason why the service is slow.

Room Tip: Nice place to visit and play golf on a weekend. There was free wifi in the lobby and not sure if it was available in each room.
