Although NY Botanical Gardens is quite beautiful, the streets around it are extremely dangerous. I say this because crossing the street to get to the Gardens is a nightmare and an ordeal. Specifically, on the intersection of Bedford Park Blvd and Webster Avenue cars do not stop for pedestrians and it's a challenge to cross the street. Cars trying to make a left or right turn on the intersection ignore pedestrians trying to cross and sometimes don't come to a complete stop, and as a result pedestrians sometimes have to dodge cars or cross as fast as possible in order to avoid being hit by a car. On top of that, there are NO police cameras on this very dangerous intersection which is one block from the Gardens - Bedford Park Blvd and Webster Avenue. I know this is a review solely for the Gardens, but we must also take into consideration the safety of the customer outside to get there, which is paramount importance.

Fairly limited yet pleasant exhibition of Kusama works.
As to the Botanical Garden :
Given its expanse more restrooms should be installed.
Parking facilities are inadequate and easily overwhelmed.
Labeling of trees much too small and hardly legible.
Wearing of masks still required but sporadically observed.
The site is impressive and includes a portion of the Bronx river.
Good maps are provided.

We paid a fortune and were asked to pay more to ride the tram around! Not fair and too expensive for flowers

Beautiful place to visit, enjoy the nature, see beautiful flowers, breath pure air and much more. A place to spend time with the family including kids of all ages. Highly recommended visiting while in NYC.

My and I are members go the NYBG and went to the preview of the new Yayoi Kusama installation . The day was spectacular. The sun was shining for most of the day. The cherry trees were at full bloom and the Kusama installation was exciting and perfectly paired with the beauty of the NYBG. It was a very nice 3 hour stroll through the park with the bonus of seeing art from one of the greatest living artists of our time.
Make sure you get a full entry ticket to see the indoor installations
