Visited on a saturday morning, not crowded at all. Found some nice second hand clothing at good rates - would come again

Too bad all but one antique store was closed by 6pm on a Saturday night. Perhaps because the neighborhood seemed a little seedy.
Maybe during the day there's a whole different atmosphere.
If you love antiques, it's looks like a cool place to visit.

There are a few blocks in the old section of Binghamton where some antique stores are scattered about. There are one or two per block, for about 3 short blocks. They are pleasant enough stores with some knick-nacks, but the area is very old and not in the best part of town. I would not want to be shopping there after the sun goes down.

It was neat to explore the shops on Clinton Street! Several close together, then a nice stroll up to Mad Hatter Antiques and Treasure Hunt farther up the street (284 and 300 Clinton St).

You're bound to find what you're looking for...and more...on Antique Row. The stores are jam packed and each specializes in something different. I visited Old, Odd and Unique; Yesteryear and The Mad Hatter. Prepare to spend at least an hour if you go to The Mad Hatter. It contains three levels of eclectic finds from large victorian pieces to circus memorbilia and metal lunch boxes...and everything in between!
