My boyfriend and I had such a fun time, from nearby hikes, farm-to-table restaurants, and scenery. The motel helped us settle down and relax, and the room was clean, had the right essentials and I just loved the breakfast basket that was always updated with new goodies each night we stayed. Also, of love to Michelle for accommodating our late night check-in, easy check-out, s'more sticks and marshmallows, and great housekeeping! Overall, a great experience!

Thank you. So glad you chose us. There is so much to do in the Catskills, especially if you're an outdoor enthusiast. We're very luck to be in the center of it all. Although we're in a laid back quiet spot, we're within 45 minutes of any Catskill location. Not to mention, we are in Big Indian, the hiking capital of our region. Looking forward to seeing you again in another season. Ski season is approaching and our guests get heavy discounts at Belleayre Ski Mountain. See you soon!

This cottage is a gem in the Catskills...
Colorful and fully stocked with cooking needs and
seating for a large group and cozy enough for the 3 of us with our little toy poodle. The back porch is a dreamy spot with colorful lights and lots of seating and candles galore. A fire pit for wood and an outside deck also.....The beds are so comfortable and the bedding is
soft and cozy....everything was spotless and there are televisions with Roku etc in every room...our fave to take of the chill in the downstairs master suite was the electric fireplace where Ruby the poodle curled up as the chill of autumn was taken off the room...and there are air conditioners in every room also...fans aplenty and beautiful towels and my fave thing is the hooks galore to hang our jackets and bags and everything we need close by.....the couches are comfy and the colors of the decor are
many and everything is interesting to look at and enjoy in this old farmhouse made
into a great retreat...one bedroom with ensuite bath downstairs and up a huge wide beautiful staircase are three more bedrooms and lovely bathroom.
I wish I could rent for a month!.....bring your groceries or make ahead some soups.....or pasta sauce from home....plenty of beautiful dishes and pots and pans and a great stove..We made pasta and sauce and fresh veggies with some sausages from our home butcher. There is a ...huge frig and freezer.......
oh and a washer dryer combo right off of the kitchen with a half bath and sink vanity...
I can't say enough wonderful things.....the cozy front porch was welcoming with lighted
autumn branches..and couches....the leaves were changing already on Oct.3 and we
dipped into the Esopus River to get to feel the energy of the water and the blue skies...although it rained too much on our second day....we drove around the area and took in the sights...shopped local and went back to The Maplewood House to make soup and drink our wine from the nearby market in Pine Hill......We all loved it and want to go back again...and again.....
Thank you to Michelle and her housekeepers for a great stay at The Maplewood House.

Room Tip: The entire house is great

Happy you decided to stay at our Maplewood House. You just can't go wrong with all that space and all the comforts of home in a setting that's both woodsy and conveniently on Route 28. The house is less than 1/2 mile from the motel, so often wedding goers and family reunions use both accommodations for their guests. The house sleeps up to 10, but is ideal for a small family getaway too. Looking forward to the Maplewood House becoming your home away from home.

We stayed in room no. 8. A quiet place to sleep and to sit on the back porch. But the motel can't hide its age, mostly in the back. All in all it was o.k
We have sighted blackbears (a mom with 3 cubs) in the surrounding area and the food, especially the pizza, in the Sportsman Cantina in Phoenicia was great.

Glad you had a pleasant and quiet stay in the Catskills. Very lucky to see a family of bears too!

Great old-fashioned roadside motel! Loved the bright colors and decor. Clean, comfortable rooms - bedroom, bathroom, and full kitchen - for a very reasonable price, around $100. The kitchen was stocked with cups, plates, pots and pans, and more, and there was a breakfast basket in the fridge with oatmeal, cereal, muffin, croissant, granola bars, coffee, and even a quart of milk. Behind the motel is a little patio, a grill for every room, tables and chairs, a basket of outdoor toys and games, and a firepit. The weather was dreary and rainy, but I still enjoyed sitting on the patio with coffee in the morning. If you like to chat with other people staying at the motel, I'm sure in nicer weather, it would be a really fun area to BBQ and unwind. The owner helped us find a restaurant and recommended some fun activities to enjoy even during our rainy stay. Great stay, and we would love to come back in better weather!

Great place and very cozy. Would definitely stay there again. The back porch was a bonus and the grounds were awesome. Very convenient to many attractions and restaurants. We attended a wedding and the shuttle picked us up right at the motel. Very convenient.

We love our wedding goers. They often return and become regular guests. Looking forward to being your home away from home.
