in between several stays at 5star luxury lodges we stopped-over only 1 night at Pakamisa without expecting anything but a good nights sleep - what we experienced was the biggest surprise in our this year Africa journey...
Pakamisa is a magical place with excellent services - I don't want to say anything more but that we definitely will try to visit this lodge and the wonderful owner again!

We drove up from Durban and stayed at Pakamisa for two nights. The drive was long (about 4 hours) in our compact car and I was a bit nervous when we approached the hill after reaching the property gate. We are Americans and driving a standard car on the righthand side was enough of a feat without adding a few cliffs to the mix. In the end, my husband did a great and we arrived safely! The next few days we very tranquil and peaceful. The views were breathtaking and worth the hair-raising ride up the mountain. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our suite was large and comfortable. We saw lots of giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, warthogs and impalas on our multiple game drives. Both Chamu and Craig were very knowledgeable guides. I highly recommend adding Pakamisa to your South Africa travel plans. I only wished we had planned more time so we could have hopped over the Swaziland border since we were so close. Next time for sure!

Pakamisa Lodge is a one of a kind gem! The views and scenery are great and the rooms and food are 5 star. We rode horses among zebra, giraffes, wildebeests, ostriches and other animals. Shot clays. Archery too! The staff treat you like royalty, but in a family atmosphere. Top notch. You won't be disappointed.
