There is much to learn during a visit to the hacienda. I went on a day when there were only two other people visiting. It made for an excellent visit. It was very quiet allowing me to imagine what life then would have been like.

We spent about an hour here enjoying the very beautiful and quiet location. Exploring the many different rooms and reflecting on how life must have been back in Colonial days was a unique experience.

Lots of reviews say "must see". Go if you have some free time. Interesting but wouldn't plan my day around it.

The twisty, winding road brings you back in time to when Indian raids were something to be feared. This self contained home shows in great detail what life was like in the wild west. Tons of artifacts help the visitor understand the way people lived their lives and kept their faith. Well worth the short drive to visit this self guiding museum.

As stated by another, this is an overlooked gem of a museum. Well preserved rooms, artifacts, the structure itself is interesting and informative. The kitchen was especially impressive to consider what tasks were accomplished there! Recommend this special place to explore! Travel tip: the narrow, rural roads to get there don't recommend doing it in an RV.
