We stayed for 3 nights, good for a short visit. Couldn't stay longer than that! Also bring your own pillows!!! If you don't you won't get any sleep. Also the walls are paper thin. I heard the people next to me all night along in a personal way, not good! But my boyfriends mother stayed in a suite and those were nice. Breakfast is decent but it's only 2 different kinds and they just rotate then. No real selection. It's a buffet too.

Dear Valued Traveler,

Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of hosting you at our beloved Inn. I am especially happy that you found our staff friendly and attentive.

Being an 85 year old iconic New Mexico hotel is never easy but always rewarding. We find people like you that embrace our history, revel in our artwork and enjoy our company to be a perfect fit for us.

We embrace our wrinkles and are thrilled when our guests look at us and say "how charming". Thank you for seeing that in us.

I look forward to meeting you on your next trip to beautiful Taos.

Warmest Thoughts and Safe Travels,

Excellent stay at Sagebrush. The large courtyard outside the door was lit with white string lights at night and the room was clean and supplied with wood for the fireplace. Equipped with a small refrigerator and all the amenities, including an outdoor hot tub across the courtyard, it was perfect for relaxation.

Room Tip: Choose one with a fireplace for extra ambiance.

Dear Taos Traveler,

Thank You so much for the kind words. Our intent is to always provide a clean, comfortable and warm stay to our guests. The fireplaces make that easy to accomplish.

We hope to see you in the summer when the patio is going in full force.

Once again thank you for taking the time to write about our beloved property.

Kindest Thoughts,

The room was a nice size, but it was dark in there, despite having a sliding glass door. Beds were comfy and cozy, after a day of skiing it was nice to slide into a warm bed. We stayed in a room by the pool and it was nice to have that access to the spa and heated pool. Also enjoyed the common area with the fireplace. Great conversation area with tables. Staff were very friendly, and the reservation was accurate. The only reason I give a Very Good rating instead of Excellent is because one of the beds was never made up, which was odd to say the least. I was a bit concerned that the noise level would be bad, being so close to the spa and pool, but it never was a problem. I highly recommend the hotel for families or couples who need a romantic place to unwind and reconnect.

Room Tip: Be sure to double check your work and make sure you make ALL the beds before leaving.

Dear Karen,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience at our beloved hotel. We take great pride in creating an atmosphere that is cozy, warm and inviting. It is great to hear that we did that for you during your stay.

I want to address the issue you had with our housekeeping department. I have looked into it fully and it was entirely our mistake . The room adjacent to yours called the front desk and said they would not need service in the morning. We inadvertently wrote down the wrong number. I apologize.

Please call me the next time you decide to stay in Taos and I will make sure your room is taken care of.

Thank you again for your kind words and we hope to see you soon.

A bit of a drive from the plaza, but worth it for the reasonable prices and comfortable rooms. Very attractive, western-style common room/bar. Free parking. Fine breakfast buffet included.

Be sure to visit the Taos Pueblo while in the area.

Dear Carolyn,

Thank you for your kind words. As for the breakfast we are continually trying to improve our offerings including that true to New Mexico Red and Green Chile.

I am so glad you noticed our "wrinkles" and embraced them. Not much has changed since Marlon Brando, Georgia O'Keefe and Lucille Ball stayed her over the last 50 years. Still funky, Still New Mexico and yes indeed still Taos.

Kindest Thoughts,

Paul Aragon
