Our stay here was great!!! The room was very large, great super king bed with a great selection of TV channels. The fireplace would have been nice if it was winter with the couch in front of it. The air conditioning worked really well. Breakfast was a treat along with the pool and spa. Wifi was the fastest I have ever used, tested at 30mb down and 70mb up. Streaming video was awesome. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking very convenient to room. I have stayed in Taos many times and this was hands down my best experience.

Room Tip: Super King was awesome

The hotel was delightful. When you are greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies and other appetizers later, how can you go wrong. Friendly staff. Very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and abundantly equipped. Comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking the grounds. The pool and spa looked delightful although we didn't participate. The Lodge is ideally location near downtown. We picked up dinner across the street at a burger place and had it in our room. This place is centrally located and an ideal spot to get a room. We definitely will stay again if we are back in Taos. The full breakfast the next morning was a treat out on the patio. This is a pet friendly hotel but they do have special rooms set aside so if you have allergies, you can be assured you will be okay. We had minor issues that we thought were due to animal related allergies, but they assured us that they were not in our rooms. You won't regret staying here.

Room Tip: Upstairs was nice!

Right on the main road in Taos but this place has many different rooms. A lot of them looked really charming. We stayed in the two story building in the back, and it was nice and quiet. The pool is really nice and warm, the hot tub was large and clean. There is a big sweet mellow dog at the lobby, if you are missing your 4 legged friends. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants. The buffet breakfast has a great variety of dishes-they really have thought of everything, and you can eat outside in a charming courtyard. I would definitely return.

Unfortunately, we failed to ask for a ground floor room when reserving. So we ended up in a very underwhelming room 122. You know the room; the last room held open just in case some one shows up late and no where else to put them. Should have moved on but decided to stay, our bad.The bathroom is in sore need of updating and with a better design, flow and lighting. Based on the website photos, I guess our room was the only one that doesn't have a headboard. Worn linens and a window a/c that cools one portion of the room. Couldn't sleep due to the a/c noise and early morning landscaping. Doesn't anyone travel without dogs these days? Sweaty dog smell in the room at the check in desk was a bit over the top. I guess if you are around dogs all the time, the smell and hair doesn't bother you. Was surprised by the extent of the breakfast buffet but then observed staff feeding the house dog with food from the buffet under a table where guests had just vacated. Really had hoped for a much better stay on our first trip to Taos.

When I arrived I was very impressed with the hotel. It is very aesthetic and clean. The staff was very friendly. The rooms clean and spacious. The next morning when I woke up I was blown away by breakfast. A large Buffet with lots of selection and absolutely delicious. The gravy is homemade. The salsa is authentic. I have never tasted in all of my travels a breakfast that was this good. Worth the money.
