One feels the very atmosphere, the stillness, present in the home those many decades ago as though it's enveloped in a permanent siesta.

We love his work and as one of the founders of the "Taos School" someone interested in the genre should see where he lived and painted. Both his wife and daughter was also very accomplished artists.

Guess we spent an hour plus there and loved every moment. all very well done.

Sort of interesting. When Blumenschein and wife came to Taos, they bought rooms in this pueblo. Sounds strange.

Yet another Rough Guide recommendation. Much restored house of the co-founder of the Taos Society of Artists and in some respects, the house is better than the actual art on display.
Well worth a visit!

The Museum is very well done. One gets a perspective of the development of Taos as a center for the arts in this area. The Blumenscheins were outstanding artists and contributors to the growth of Taos as a place that appreciated and supported the arts. The home and museum is very well done and provide a very interesting perspective on the de velopment of the Taos Art Colony.
