Lee and Lori run one of the best B&Bs i have ever stayed at. From the first email to the last goodbye, they were warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was tastefully decorated and provided everything you could want. The breakfast was four star in taste and worthy of Food and Wine cover page in presentation. Best of all, the other guests were interesting people which made for great conversation. Highly, highly recommend.

We spent just one night at Rancho Magdalena but wished we could have stayed longer. The room was beautiful and comfortable, owner Lee was very friendly and helpful, and the greeting from Peanut was very welcoming. Our dog, London, enjoyed the stay, too. Even his first encounter with a donkey.

The Rancho Magdalena run by Lee and Lori is without question the best of the best. The place is beautifully Southwest with many personal touches and every detail is attended to from the greeting to the hospitality to the quality of the sheets to the silver spoons that come to your room with morning coffee.
There aren't sufficient adjectives to described the affability of the hosts or the charm of Ranchero Magdelena. It is a memory we will long cherish.

I was on a road trip and the way the route worked out we had to stay in Magdalena. Thank god for that! We got to stay at Rancho Magdalena. The food was amazing, home cooked by one of the innkeepers. They have three enthusiastic dogs that just want to be your friend and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Five stars.

Room Tip: The sun might wake you up a bit early.

On our three week roadtrip we had planned to stay in Santa Fe and Albuquerque for several days and then drive to Arizona from there. I'm so glad we changed our plans and decided to go further south! From the moment I called Lori to enquire about availability we felt very welcome. Lee and Lori were really the best hosts we have ever met; both in Europe and the US. They made us feel very comfortable and were like friends. The room was beautiful and ver cozy with the fireplace. Little details like lighting the fire before we got back at night and putting coffee and tea outside our room before we woke up made our stay a special experience. We also had a wonderful time with Lee showing us around, and got to see places we would never have seen (or would even try to go to) ourselves. Lee's stories made the area really come to life. Lori's breakfasts were great and enough to keep us from getting hungry until late afternoon! We loved the local touch and the different styles of breakfast Lori made us. Magdalena is a very charming town and we sure made friends there. Lee and lori also accompanied us the first night and introduced us to the people at the golden spur saloon (great place too by he way). We felt so comfortable and at home in Magdalena. Also make sure to take a look around in the shop Lee and Lori run in town. Great place to find a souvenir.
We streched our sceduled one night stay to three and unfortunately had to leave just before the weekends dance and rodeo. But this gives us even more reason to come back. Being all the way from Europe it may take us a few years to save up and cross the ocean again, but Rancho Magdalena is definately one of our destinations when we do. Until then we cherish the memories of a great stay with wonderful people.
