Totally worth the drive from Las Vegas to Cleveland! Best tamales around. Tried a burrito as well and it was fantastic!

Our trip had us running from Taos down to Lubbock. After winding through the mountains, we passed by Teresas, felt it calling and made a u-turn. GOOD decision. Mid-day on a Saturday. Ms Teresa prepares a notable breakfast taco. Ours was hueovs, papas and bacon. Thanks for the hospitality, Ms. Teresa.

We stopped here to pick up a couple dozen tamales for our hungry crew on our visit to Mora and everyone was happy and enjoyed the tamales. The people who worked there were friendly. Although we didn’t eat at the restaurant and try the other food, it looked clean.

Heard about Teresa's Tamales from "Only in NM", claiming the best tamales in NM. After visiting Fort Union, decided to stop here for lunch on the way home. Saw the dark clouds up ahead and was caught in a snow storm. I was thinking, "these tamales better be good". Definitely worth the risk.

I had the smothered tamale with green chile ($3) from the a la cart menu. Forgot to order a drink and left my water in the car. Surprisingly, didn't need it, though it was a bit spicy. From the outside, not a place I would normally visit. The moment you step inside, you get that authentic, hometown feel. Arrived around 2pm and was the only one there, though 2 people came while I was there.

On the way home, wished I had ordered 2 tamales. They do have ones to go. Will definitely visit again and buy some of their green chile. A good meal to warm the body on a, surprisingly, cold day.

We stopped for tamales and had a tamale straight up and a tamale with green chile. Both were really good and the green chile was outstanding. The best we've had in NM so far. We got an extra pint to have with our eggs for the next several mornings. A good local place and well worth the U-turn to get back to it!
