We liked to stay in this small and quiet resort, quite close to the Ong Lang beach. The room is big, clean with a nice " outdoor" bathroom. Each bungalow has a private terrace viewing the splendid garden. The pool is ok even if half of the tiles are missing - something that will be fixed soon according to the manager-. The staff is very friendly.
Breakfast is good, we missed a good restaurant at the resort so you need to go somewhere outside. Don't forget to take a torch with you, you will need it for any walk at night. We find a good restaurant at the Mango in the Mango resort, about 15 min.walk.
The private beach there is perfect, you can rent sunbeds for a day and enjoy the paradise.

Staying here at the moment. It is a small quiet resort, quite close to the beach. The rooms are lovely, very spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only additions that I would make to this hotel would be repairs to the pool tiles and hot coffee and tea at breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights at Paradiso Phu Quoc and absolutely loved it.
Rooms: the bungalows are spacious and very clean, with a very beautiful "outdoors" bathroom and a rain shower. The bed is massive and very comfy. Each bungalow has a little terrace.
Pool and garden: The garden is absolutely wonderful, I felt like in the middle of the jungle, the decoration is perfect - sophisticated but not too extravagant, fits perfectly with the surrounding trees and plants everywhere. The pool is in OK condition, it misses a few tiles but nothing really bad. It is still clean and very nice to swim in. There are two lovely puppies and some chicken running around! For an animal lover like me, this was definitely a plus :)
Breakfast: We had quite a lot to choose from: eggs, noodles, bread, ham, cheese, bao breads, fresh fruits, coffee, tea, orange juice. They serve drinks during the day, but no lunch/dinner. However there are enough alternatives of every kind and for every budget around.
Location: the beach is around 5-10mn by foot, it's a very nice and clean beach. It is not so big when high tide, but definitely enough to lie down and enjoy. There are other bigger beaches located a little further. There's also a possibility to use bycicles (for free - they are not in super good condition but we still used them and had no problem) or rent motorbikes. There are some cheap and nice restaurants about 10 min away from the hotel (or 3 min by bike).
Staff: the receptionist doesn't speak much English. However they are doing everything they can to still meet your expectations and will always find a way (for example, by calling a colleague who speaks better English and can translate, etc.). They are overall really friendly and professional. Only little issue we had was the room service knocking at our door quite early (8:30 AM) to clean up, we simply sent them away and they came back once we had left the room.

To sum up, I would 100% recommend this hotel to a friend. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some nature while still being close enough to beaches, bars and restaurants. Their garden is beautiful and perfectly decorated. I found the bycicles very nice if you don't want to spend money on renting a scooter or simply do not want to drive a scooter. From what I understood they are quite new, and I am sure they will keep on getting better and better.

I stayed at Paradiso Phu Quoc Resort a few weeks ago, and found it a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of other parts of Vietnam. The bed was super comfortable, the room was beautifully maintained and clean, and the grounds were lush with vegetation. They offered some nice choices for breakfast, and it was wonderful to relax on the loungers and cushions by the pool. The staff here aim to please.

It's a nice little area to explore around, away from the noise of the main road (DT45). There is a beach five minutes walk away, and Ong Lang beach is not too much further - 2 km from the resort. You can walk, cycle or motorcycle there, and the route takes you through a nice village and past restaurants and stores. Going onto the main road (DT45) offers some other choices for restaurants and stores, including a karaoke bar/restaurant with good food on the left side, as you head north.

I'll start with the positives, nice room, good shower, beautiful setting.

Unfortunately I was just so disappointed with this place. We flew to Phu Quoc for my birthday and wanted somewhere authentic and special. The hotel were made aware via email by my bf it was my birthday and he even reminded them and I didn't even get a 'happy birthday'. The room listing said the room included a bottle of wine (which was also pictured). The hotel ignored this, despite me showing them where it was written in the listing and the fact we'd paid for the most expensive room to get this. Our room looked no different to the others.

There is alcohol around but no menu or prices so cocktails by the pool as imagined didn't happen. It's a nice pool but needs a return as tiles missing and there are slippy slimey parts.

The floor is slippy as there's no maintenance cleaning the grime on the entrance so I slipped over.

There is now a room service/restaurant menu- however it was the worst fried rice I've had in 3 months in Asia. The breakfast is cooked food left to go cold and covered in flies.

Limited spoken English- the same girl who doesn't speak any insisted on answering the phone every time too.

Free bicycle hire, brakes didn't work, no light.

Hired a motorcycle which didn't feel safe or to the standard of others I've hired in Vietnam.

The did bring our breakfast to the room when requested, but they didn't bring what we'd asked for. We just got a random plate of cold food which hasn't been made to order. Freezing cold French fries, spring rolls, beef noodles and cold hard bacon. Despite asking for 2 omelettes and toast and (no meat as vegetarian).

This hotel could easily be amazing if they put in a bit of effort. There were a lot of staff lingering, which made you feel like a nuisance when you wanted something.
The beach is near by but it's grubby.

I really wish I'd stayed elsewhere. An island retreat as a birthday treat separate from backpacking for 6 months was a massive disappointment.
