This is place is hidden from view from the main road, but worth going to it. Sate Bali specialises in balinese BBQ. It is simple and no frills - but it is def more affordable to eat if you are looking for something authentic on the main street and want a change from the Ku Te Da type of vibe and prices.

Came here a couple of times whilst in Bali and enjoyed the food every time. Fresh with great flavours. Staff are efficient and friendly. Happily sat here enjoying the food and a cold drink.

We had the Seminyak Rijsttafel and each dish was superb. Authentic spices and tastes, perfectly grilled sate. Excellent from the complimentary crackers and three sambals through to the tasty local desserts. The restaurant is unassuming and a wonderful local experience amongst the mess of glitzy restaurants that have pervaded the area. Congratulations Sate Bali. We would certainly return many times had we been staying in the area longer.

Over the past few days, I've had lunch, dinner and completed the cooking class. Great menu for lunch and dinner. Cost for 2 people 300,000 which included sate pork, lemongrass chicken grill, shredded chicken salad and 2 drinks. Salad, vegetables, rice and small dips served free. Plenty of tasty food for a very reasonable price. Fabulous service set in outstanding traditional balinese setting. The cooking class (375,000) was outstanding! From 9.30-1.30pm. Loads of fun. Small class. There were only 4 of us so it was very personal. Head chef was very talented with 20 years of experience so lots of tips. We cooked multiple dishes including base spices for chicken and fish. You eat what you cook so do not have much for breakfast. Complimentary welcome drink and cook book with recipes to take home. This is a hidden gem!
