Having experienced the Gin Bar the night before, great service and excellent setting, we opted to eat a mid-day meal at the Coffee Shop Saturday 11th August 2018.. WHAT A disappointment.
Meat grey and tasteless - the day before we pointed out in the deli that the meat they were selling had expired. I have no doubt that this is the same meat that was slapped on the bread-board
Olives - for the region dry and tasteless what a shame you don't support O for Olive!
Humus - not sure that it was humus
Cheese - one type of cheese????
Bread - a mini bread-loaf more like a bread-roll
No butter and no knife to cut the bread
Cost R125.00 - absolute no value for money
Ciabiatta Chicken and Mayo Sandwich
Again not sure if you have the correct product on the menu - resembled more of a Panini dry and tasteless
Chicken mayo - around somewhere in the center one could locate a bit of chicken
Returned to waitress to ask the chef to address the sandwich with more chicken mayo well if the chef thought he / she was entertaining by slapping on 3cm's of chicken mayo on each piece of bread - your humour failed us terribly.
Price R60.00 - definitely NOT worth it
Service - non existant / extremely busy / limited staff
management - no where to be found!
This restaurant clearly displays a lack of leadership and management - staff are only as good as their leaders.
Surrounds excellent beautifully located but beyond that would certainly not go back or recommend.
Two days in a row no bread as advertised freshly baked. Meat and cheese selection appaulling - great pickled onions about the only positive I can add
Lack of planning for a long weekend of trade!
