We went for a sun downer's drinks and afterwards had dinner. The lady who greeted us upon arrival was very friendly and welcoming making us at home. The assigned waitress was also friendly and displayed good knowledge of their wines and food. The place was cozy. It was packed for dinner. A good sign that the restaurant is really a popular place. The food selection has a lot to choose from. My calamari steaks were cooked to perfection....tender, tasty and yummy as were the eisbein and beef souvlaki....highly recommended.
The thing I didn't like was that the price of their cognac shot is outrageously expensive.......we paid 180 Rand for three small shots of Hennessy cognac which means 60 Rand/shot. Can you believe it?!?!?! We voiced a complaint about this issue to our waitress and she said that we are not the 1st ones who complained about the price and the owner/management is aware but nothing is done, which appears to mean that they have no problem charging exorbitant mark-ups on some alcoholic beverages for not only the tourists but even the locals.
