We pass this restaurant often when in town on business at Picatinny and were curious. So glad we checked it out. Very small, quaint, with true Spanish cuisine. The paella, Zarzuella, steak and veal were the choices for our table. All were delicious! Warning: they do NOT like separate checks!

I rode by Spain Rincon many times and on a whim decided to try it. The food and service is very good. The interior is much more pleasant than its exterior.
The cuisine appears more Portuguese than Spanish. I tried their Portuguese Beer Sagres which I heard of but never tried. It was very good. The 2 of us were very happy with our meals - clams and rice.
I noticed that other diners were ordering paella served in a metal pot and sangria - which will be my next order upon my return.

Didn't know quite what to expect as the outside looks like a place from Diners Dive Ins and Dives. However, once you enter, you swear you have been magically transported to the heart of Newark's Ironbound and get excited looking forward to some of the fantastic offerings found in that great Spanish Portuguese area and assortment of wonderful restaurants.
We started with Shrimp and Garlic Sauce- it was amazing! HUGE shrimp in a wonderfully prepared sauce- the garlic was sweet and soft- not almost charred like so many other places serve.
We shared a DELICIOUS Red Sangria that featured a beautiful wine, brandy and fresh fruit- not some mix that tasted like adult Hawaiian Punch as some other Sangrias are.
All entrees were awesome - freshest seafoods in the Mariscadas in both Tomato sauce and another in Green a sauce with butter, wine and fresh parsley. The shrimp and mussels were also so fresh and came with another amazing sauce!
This restaurant will earn your loyalty if you give them a chance - it certainly has earned return visits from us!!

Great food with large portions. You'll need to go to the Iron Bound to find bigger. Their fish is always good and they cook to order. The Portuguese clams are a favorite appetizer as are the stuffed mushrooms. I Usually order the Add to Mariscada in green sauce or the Lobster tails in white sauce. Meat lover, try the Salomillo a la Rincon Filet with bacon cheese and mushroom sauce (AKA heart attack on a plate) Service is usually good to excellent unless they are really swamped. The atmosphere is a bit quirky but we like it. The tables are packed in but you can reserve one of two tables next to the bar that seat about 6 to 9 people I think.

Was introduced to this place almost 20 years ago. The Sangria is exceptional, Portions plentiful. Maybe you'll get lucky and they will serve house made carrot soup. Plenty of seafood. the potatoes are great. Do not go there and plan on not eating. It damn near impossible!
