Beautifully maintained trails and a very informative staff made my visit with two young children a success. There were lots of small frogs and she answered all of their many questions. They learned a lot in a beautiful atmosphere. I will return again by myself and enjoy the tranquility.

The sounds of birds and roses when in bloom are a reason to enjoy this hidden gem. Once you pull into the lot and walk a bit you will feel transported on a mini vacation.
The fall is just as lovely. Beautiful!!!!!!
Sometimes there is a wedding so you may have to wait a bit to take advantage of the complete rose area.

My husband and I took our 18 month old daughter here and we all enjoyed our short hike through the woods and near the pond. She loved it and took in everything - the sights and sounds... Not only did we have the chance to see the animals in their natural habitat on our walk but we spent time visiting the owl, hawks, snakes, turtles, frogs and more that live in cages outside and in the building. There are also activities in the building that she was able to play with and explore. I definitely recommend this best kept secret in Bergen County to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
