Lots of crispy, fresh raw vegetables just bursting with flavor. The spicy coconut seafood soup is my favorite. Watching the cooks make the sushi is fun. Many different combination plates are good for sharing. Hot entrees well spiced. Not a good place to bring someone who doesn't like fish. For dessert, it would be better to visit the ice cream store down the street.

We ate at Yumi last summer and thought it was the best sushi we ever tasted. We couldn’t wait to go back again this summer, and we kept thinking about how great it was.
We must have been sitting for at least 20 minutes before our waitress came over to us. We never got her name since she never introduced herself. We finally placed an order and waited forever for our edamame to come. The service got worse and worse throughout the night.
Our rolls came out in dribs and drabs. They were good but not as good as we remembered. If we hadn’t eaten there the year before and had the best sushi ever maybe we wouldn’t have been so disappointed. It just wasn’t what we had remembered. The rolls weren’t melting in our mouths like they did last year.
Hopefully it was just an off night for them.
I can’t even remember the names of the rolls to give them a review. None of them were very memorable.

If anyone likes or wants to try Japanese food- this is THE ONE place you have to come to. Come here at least once a week and it’s nothing but THE BEST experience each time. Our favorite waitress Monique is such a lovely person who makes sure we walk out with the best experience every time. Love this heavenly place❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh, the creativity! The presentation! The flavors! So fresh! This place should just be called YUM! We ate ourselves silly because it was so hard to decide...and everything was amazing! Please get the tuna pizza (it's on a scallion pancake - oh, my!). I'd try the rice crispy-like appetizer, too. So different.
Parking was a little challenging, but there was availability in the municipal lot. Don't forget to BYOB!

A truly wonderful meal from start to finish! a small dish of crunchy pickled vegetables whetted our appetites for what was to come: we shared a special 'warm mushroom' salad( 3 kinds of mushrooms with small lettuces in a not overdone dressing, a white tuna ceviche ( that was awesome), a 'Deal' Special sushi roll ( I highly recommend this) and Pan seared Scallops (with Japanese risotto) for my husband which were perfectly cooked and succulent. We usually share appetizer(s) and dessert but here we each had what turned out to be perfect endings: Tempura cheesecake which my husband described as awesome and Mochi Ice cream with carmelized, warm bananas and fresh blackberries and raspberries ( perfection). Service was excellent, servers watchful and attentive. BYOB is helpful price wise but we were happy drinking hot green tea on this cold evening. Can't wait to return and sample some more well prepared and interesting dishes.
