We have stayed at other hotels/suites in OCNJ for a few days (usually a half week or so) vacation to the Jersey Shore over the past 4 years. This year, we had a shorter stay than usual, so we looked for a place to get the most bang for our buck for a 2-night stay. The Wild Dunes is located right off the boardwalk at 10th Street and is closer to the beach than their sister property the Impala Inn. The room was clean, big enough for a family of 3 (or 4). For us it was 2 adults and 1 11 year-old who was fine with the pull-out sofa. The rides across the way were fine since they were off by 11:30pm....so no issues with being able to sleep. The two drawbacks: 1 - It's a walk to the pool at the Impala... Never had to deal with that with other places. 2- There was no lee-way about keeping your car there for the rest of the day after you checked out. Cars needed to be off the property as soon as you checked out... So that meant finding a nearby lot to park for the rest of the day, if you want to stay in-town for a bit longer. PS: Late check-out? Don't even bother asking if you're doing this in-season... so, yeah, those 3 things were the only negatives.
Bottom line: Would we stay here again? Possibly. Thanks for reading. Of course this is my opinion, I could be wrong. :)
