This is an older motel on campus. As we wanted to spend time on the Rutgers campus, it was a very convenient location. Parking is available right outside. We were there for the busy Rutgers Day (we didn't know about it in advance, not sure how we got a room) which was super convenient. The staff warned us about the traffic and parking situation for the day.

The room was small, but we had a solid brick wall on one side and the other side was thick enough to keep out noise as well.

Wifi worked well.

We would return.

My husband and daughter came to visit for Rutgers Day and were pleasantly surprised that a room was available here! We recently moved from the area and keep coming back for the event since we graduated. Everything is great, the beds are comfortable, rooms clean, free parking, great rates especially for alumni. The only downside was that the walls are thin and a group of girls next door came home from drinking at 1am, being so loud, waking us all up. However, the staff was helpful in confronting them and we were able to sleep well after that. Also, rooms are small so no cribs allowed. We brought a travel baby bed to go on top of the other bed for my 5 month old, worked perfectly.
We will be back for our next trip!

The staff was very accommodating. My flight came in well after their standard check-in hours and they were more than happy to offer late check-out upon request. The building has a slight dorm feel to it but the room was clean and well appointed.

Although located a stone's throw from State Highway 1, the Rutgers Inn is very quiet on an estate that is part of Rutgers' Douglas-Cook campus. Our room had all our desired amenities (including comfortable beds, good reading lights, mini-fridge, hair dryer, fast WiFi, etc.). The staff at the Inn is very helpful, friendly and willing and able to adapt the service to the wishes of the guests.
During our stay it was some days and nights relatively cold for the month of April; the heating in our room could not quite cope with the cold.
No meals are provided at the Inn. In the Neilson Hall, however, guests can find a student restaurant within five minutes walking distance.
