Indian food is our favorite, and this restaurant does not disappoint. Its focus is actually Himalayan food which means that, in addition to dishes normally found on an Indian menu, there are foods from Nepal as well.
The waitstaff is all wonderful. Only one of them is a woman and she stands out as being remarkably helpful and a very sweet, kind person.
We have often been given small portions of dishes in addition to those which we ordered, just so we know what they taste like.
The food is fantastic, with a level of heat just as we ordered.
I recommend this restaurant highly.

We love this restaurant for fresh, tasty, beautifully flavored Indian/Nepalese food.
Lovely personable service, relaxed casual setting where the portions are huge and the prices so reasonable.
The BEST restaurant if it’s kind in Bergen County. Try the cauliflower appetizer- addicting.
Can’t wait to return.

We followed the lady staff's suggestions and tried the momos (or dumplings) and a Nepali Paneer dish. Both were delicious.

Disillusioned with other popular South Asian restaurants in New Jersey area, on this travel trip decided to try "Namaste" as they proudly said they served "Himalayan" food. Thought that interesting as a differentiator. Sent their Facebook page a message asking "What kind of Nepali food do you served?" Got a message back instantly listing all the popular dishes.

Went to the resturant with my friends family - other than me none had ever had traditional Nepali food.

What we ordered:

Momos - veg and chicken. Delicious. Should have ordered more. Next time.

Mutton Sekewa: nice juicy small pieces of lamb - grilled just right. Brilliant.

Chicken Choila: Again a stellar dish.

Mutton curry Nepali style: the pieces of meat in the curry were tender and juicy. The curry itself was brilliant - no excess oil or garam masala.

The service was fast, friendly and great.

This little restaurant should be on your "Must Visit" list if you are in Edgewater NJ.

We've only ordered in from there but it's always been fresh and consistently tasty. We've tried many veggie dishes and the garlic naan, samosas - all delicious. The service has always been kind on the phone even though they've messed up our address twice and it usually takes about an hour for delivery. Not many choices for quality Indian food on this side of the bridge, so when we're feeling Indian, this is our go-to.
