We had a room on the 4th floor. The room was on the outside of the building. It had a reasonable view of the beach. There was a small balcony connected to room which lacked privacy all of the rooms on that side had a common balcony separated by a low metal railing.
The room was big and clean. The bathroom had a shower over the bath. It was well supplied with soaps and other bathroom supplies.
The beach is just across the road from the beach.. What a fantastic location!!
Although the hotel is situated a few blocks to the north of some of the busy attractions there is a free trolley stop right outside and so transport is just brilliant.
We only used the dining room for a breakfast. There was a buffet system running with helpful staff. All you can eat for $US15 was good value.
Would I stay there again if in Cape May?? Yes I would.

Room Tip: The higher the room floor the better view of the beach.

Overall this hotel is just okay. If it was not located at the beach, this hotel would be grossly overpriced. However, it is priced about the same as other comparable hotels. The location is great for beach access, but it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the mall/shopping area/historic area. Free parking was nice. There are 2 pools... both were extremely crowded and people had definetly had too much to drink at the one outside. The woman who checked us in was very unfriendly and barely spoke to us at all.. not a a great first impression for a hotel. She seemed annoyed that we were there at all. The hotel itself is very scattered... has both inside and outside access rooms. It states that it was recently renovated, but you can tell when you look closely that only parts of the rooms were redone. The ceiling tiles were dirty and the carpet was wet and buckling. There were crumbs and sand all over our room. Room had a strange smell... not really sure what it was? They should have waited until they could redo the rooms correctly, rather than try to piecemeal it together because it shows. If you really just want somewhere relatively decent to sleep after enjoying Cape May, then this place is probably fine. However, the reality is that this is far from a grand hotel and is need of much improvement.

We paid about $800 when all was said and done for 2 nights in July, which appears to be pretty average for this area. The hotel rooms are definitely outdated and not what I expected, but they get the job done. The bed was comfortable so I slept great. We got a room on the corner so our view of the ocean was amazing. The pool was nice and not so overcrowded that my kiddos couldn't enjoy it. I like that they use a wrist band system to get in to prevent non-guests from using the pool. I think the next time I stay I would prefer to stay a little further up Beach Avenue where there's more stuff to do.

Large hotel with lots of amenities. Location can't be beat -- right across the street from the beach and only a few blocks down to the "main drag" with all the shops and restaurants. The air conditioner in our room didn't quite keep up with the task, although to be fair it was in the 90s and very humid when we were there. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and large. Would have given 5 stars but we felt rushed at checkout and the housekeeping staff walked in when our 14 year old was in the room (at 930am and checkout was at 11am)! She didn't knock or anything!
