My first reaction when I walked in was WOW. My reaction 3 days later as I am writing this is WOW. Just a warning, this is going to be a fairly long and in-depth review.
First, who am I (for these purposes)? I travel for business, a lot. I am a Diamond Hilton person who stays 60+ nights over about 30 - 50 hotels a year. Seriously, I have 1.1 million Hilton points.
I was visiting NJ for work, flying in on Tuesday and out of Philly on Wednesday. Before this hotel, I'd stay at one of the Hampton Inns near the airport (not at the airport), in either NJ or outside of Philly. While trying to decide where to stay, I saw this hotel and noticed it was brand, like 1/21 opening, new. I mean, how can you not stay at a brand new hotel AND one with an open restaurant! If you have done any traveling in the last year, you know that an open restaurant in a hotel is like finding a unicorn.
Couple of quick thoughts before getting into the review. 1. ALL Covid protocols were being followed by EVERYONE working there. Every single staff member I interacted with, from front desk/restaurant/housekeeping/mgmt, were amazing people. Friendly, sense of humor, professional and seemed to really love their job and it showed. Whomever did the hiring is to be commended.

Hotel is right on the Delaware river, across from Philly. The outside of the hotel is beautiful and modern. They have secured parking around the corner from the front entrance that you need your room key to access. I didn't check in first, as I was there early (a little after noon), and didn't realize that you needed a room key. They had a call box and was let in. I parked, went in (door is locked and needs a room key but someone let me in) and went to the desk. The person working the desk let me know my room was ready. It was on the 5th floor with a river view. You need your room key to access the floors in the elevator.
The room was lovely. Had a shower vs bathtub, king bed (as I chose), pod coffeemaker etc etc. Couple of nice things on the room. When they designed it, they put thought into it. The outlet on the desk had 2 plugs spread out with 2 USB between. So you could plug in 2 "big" plugs without them getting in the way of each other. Nice style chair and big swivel TV. Bed was very comfy. The side table on the bed was spacious and the outlets were apart and facing vertical so you could plug in 2 "charger" type plugs without an issue. Plenty of lights, good HVAC. The shower was glass doored and actually big, so if you are like me, let's go with the word "round", you have plenty of room.
The area around the hotel doesn't have many, if any, food choices within walking distance, so ate at the hotel restaurant. Food was delicious. I had the Fried Mozz Wedge for an appetizer. Oh my dear god. It was literally someone took a giant brick of mozzarella cheese, breaded it in deliciousness and angel tears and then deep fried it to perfection. It was hot, but not too hot, and gooey. The sauce that came with it was a perfect compliment. For my entrée, I went with the chicken dijonnaise. Delish! Sauce was perfect, chicken cooked well, the potatoes and veggies complimented it perfectly. Sadly, after that, I had no room for dessert! I then came down for breakfast. Ordered off the menu. Went with the tall stack of chocolate chip pancakes. I figured, since my wife wasn't there, I could without feeling guilty or being guilted. Also got some bacon and corned beef hash. The came out hot and perfectly cooked. Bacon was a touch greasy (I mean, it's bacon!) and the hash was ok.
Check out was smooth and easy.
I am almost sad to have to post such a review. I know that the next time I get to the area, it will be a super popular hotel. Good for the hotel, bad for me.More
