Everybody is correct. The food is good...when and if it comes! Under prior management this was not a problem. Menus were not brought to the table for 20 minutes. Bring a bottle of white wine, and hey put a mix into it, and it comes out of the kitchen as red sangria, with cubes of apple and no ice. Oh, yummy! If I wanted warm red wine, I would have brought it. The server took our order, and told us we should order more tapas because everything was cooked to order and ordering later would slow the service. Trust me, nothing can slow up the kitchen here...the excuse was "everything is cooked to order". Welcome to the restaurant business..is that not what every other one does? Pricing is fair on most plates, but one of the shrimp dishes were pricey for only four small shrimp. Water had to be requested, and a bread basket for four people was not refilled. The restaurant, I should mention, was not filled, and there seemed to be a lack of help, and an attitude that they wanted to please. Figure out how to get the food out of the kitchen, and nor make a two to three hour dinner for everyone, and you have what could be a winner! And...you turn over a table, which should be a prime thought in the business..

Went with three others last weekend and what a treat! Hadn't been here in a year or two but it did not dissapoint. I had the guava glazed ribs with the roasted vegetable and gost cheese strudel, both tapas, but more than enough food. The strudel was my appy & the ribs as my entree. Both were outstanding. Other's in my group shared the empanadas & Yukita's, again both great, The Churracso, Asopao de Marisco, & Snapper were also excellent. Service is slow, but the food is so good you have to overlook that. Its a BYOB and reservations are accepted. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

We have been to Casa Solar several times and the food is fantastic. The guava ribs are habit forming. They bring out the food when its ready, not necessarily at the same time for all at the table. Plan to share and you will be good. Dessert is great here too.

Although the food is still very good, not being served for three hours is totally unacceptable. Our party had made reservations and arrived at 6:30. The dining room was one quarter full and was staffed by one server and a bus person. We ordered both appetizers and entrees. We did not receive any of our food for two hours! When we compalined to our server, she was very curt and stated the owner/chef prepared everything to order. We then waited an additional hour for the entrees with two entrees arriving twenty minutes after the other diners had finished their meals. We had dined at Solar on at least 10 previous occasions but this will be our last. The great tragedy is that the food is quite good but the service and attitude can not be tolerated.

The food here is sooo good. The ribs are the best thing on the menu. I've been here many times. Plan to spend the evening here- do not have plans after because everything is cooked to order so it is an event. The tapas are fabulous- ribs, churrasquitos, bean dip, wings, empanadas. Try them all- about 3 for 2 people then get tres leches cake!
BYO and if you bring wine they will make sangria (good flavor. Not too sweet).
