We went here with friends early on a Saturday evening and could not believe the line of people waiting. The parking lot was packed so we knew the food, etc. must be good. The building is an old barn and the atmosphere casual and comfortable. We had a variety of dishes from the pot roast, meatloaf, fish and steak. Everyone enjoyed the dishes and the appetizer of squash ravioli with a maple cream sauce was delicious. Give it a try but be prepared to wait since they don't take reservations.

Party of four on a Sunday early evening. No wait downstairs. Wonderful meals had by all, but that's not unusual here. What is unusual is that my gluten free friend had no trouble finding something she could enjoy too.

AWFUL Experience. 3/4 of us ordered the chicken pie. One of the three came after everyone else was 1/2 done their meal. Each of the three of us HATED the pie. The chicken was like eating rubber. It was worst than eating all black meat. Very very chewy/fatty. The one pot roast meal was excellent. The waitress was awesome as well as the drinks. They did comp the one chicken pie dinner but did not make up the fact that they were all terrible.

I've eaten here 3 times in the last 8? months. It always is "ok", but we never think to go here.... so it must not be one of our favorites. We went this weekend again. Rustic barn-ish interior. ( if you can sit in one of the "stalls" with a large party it's fun! ) the waiter was friendly. You get to go to a free cracker and spreadable cheese/cottage cheese-horseradish? dip table to help yourself. ( hint: don't take a lot of the pinkish-cottage cheese looking stuff until you taste it first....it's weird ) It's a nice touch. A basket of homemade breads comes too, it's very nice. ( strawberry kiwi on our visit, yum) we had the crab sliders as appetizer ( a special ) were disappointed in the crab cake, small and not very much crab. $9.00 for 3. The "uncommon" wedge salad was kinda weak, It's made with romaine and was not very large. The prime rib dinner was good, cooked nicely. The polenta and vegetables ( for our vegetarian) was unpleasantly strong tasting of onion & too harsh tomato. :((. The chicken dish with butternut squash as a side, was VERY tiny portion of squash. At the end of the meal the waiter brings a small bit of chunked white chocolate (not the best quality ) to each table as a sweet treat. I appreciate the extra effort this restaurant takes to be a little different and giving you extras. The food is good, but not amazing, considering the pricing.

We have been eating at this Windham NH C-Man (a New Hampshire Chain) for years. The food is fairly simple but tasty, the portions are ample, the price is fair. This Common Man offers complimentary get your own crackers and cheese tables so as to have an appetizer before dinner. The atmosphere is of a farmhouse/ barn decor. There is a Sunday brunch offered.
