“Amazing day at the farm...”
Review of Ski Hearth Farm

Ski Hearth Farm
Reviewed 28 February 2015 via mobile

We found out about this new cross country ski area and had to try it out. Amazing business model with farming in the spring, summer and fall and skiing in the winter. The staff was super helpful and informative. The trails were well groomed and not crowded with a good balance of flat and hills to challenge all skill levels. They have the barn set up as a warming shed with a wood stove. It is a gem of a place and if you are in the area you should check it out. Please show your support and buy something fro their farm stand as this team deserves lots of support for the work that they are doing.

We spent two afternoons snowshoeing on hilly wooded trails. Spectacular and perfect for frigid windy weather. The staff are friendly and interesting and there is a nice warm barn for putting on snowshoes and enjoying great tea and food (they are OK if you bring your own). We live 500 miles away so can't join the CSA, but we did buy some nice organic potatoes and dried beans to bring home. The trails are free this winter, but give them a bit of money to support their start up! The ride to the farm is beautiful.

We have been XC skiing at Ski Hearth Farm this winter and buying Spinach, Micro greens, eggs and coffee. I was so impressed I increased our 1/2 share CSA to a whole share even though we're an hour away! The XC ski trails are amazing, professionally designed and well groomed. We're enjoying our skiing but also can't wait to start getting more produce! This place and the people are great, you owe it to yourself and your family to visit!!

This place is amazing! It's a working farm that is undergoing a revival this year.
The people are so nice and helpful and sell the farm products in the store. There is a first rate gear shop for snowshoes as well as skate and traditional x country gear.
I felt such love and pride in this quintessential setting as sheep bash sweetly as you silently glide by with beautifully maintained x country ski trails. No matter what you're level, they have beautiful loops. I couldn't believe it was free but this will change next year.
Enjoyed a wonderful cup of joe after as I sat and chatted with others who were very impressed.
