I had the Mac & Cheese with chicken, broccoli and pesto and was not disappointed. Lots of creative choices. Well worth a visit!

You order at a counter and they bring out your order. A bit slow on taking orders, but the food came in a reasonable amount of time. Prices were a bit steep.

Vermont Cobb salad, Dagwood sandwich on sourdough (we had a double dag, with double the meat), coffee and water for $23. All were delicious. We would eat here again.

Good lunch place in Portsmouth if you are in a hurry. We were there in the afternoon and it was messy --- trash overflow, dirty tables and sticky door, plus the bathroom needed attention and no hand towels. Nice young people working there, but it was obvious they could care less. LOL

We stopped in and were very pleased with our Vermont mac & cheese, and Thai chicken salad. Both were carefully made and flavorful. The salad has nice touches like edamame and sprouts and a very nice chili-style Thai dressing. Glad we went.

I have done take out numerous times over the last few months. On average, I prefer their breakfast to their lunch (probably I just prefer breakfast to lunch in general). For breakfast, any of their eggs sandwiches on Artisan break (either whole grain or sour dough) is a winner. Both the regular Eggs and Vermont Cheese or the Western are really good. For lunch, their salads are ok and healthy but not overly inspiring. Ask for more dressing. Their sandwiches and paninis are better and less healthy. Breakfast is about $4-$6 and lunch is $8 to $10. I did try their 3 bean chili on Friday since Dos Amigos stopped selling chili recently. The 3 beaner was ok and would be a great hit at the monastery. Enjoy!
