The Upper Valley has a lot of great places to eat, if you have just one place you need to go, it is Peyton Place. A very unassuming old farmhouse turned restaurant with a warm greeting by the host and a modest bar. The tables are small, intimate and each one unique with it's own silverware and plates. The wine list, cocktail list and beers are thoughtful and broad. The menu arrives on a chalkboard with your server available for answers to your questions. The menu features items that are local and in season and the chef's sense of imagination can seen and tasted in his reinventions of classics. The food is seasoned well and perfectly. The desserts are worth ordering and are whimsical and as equally delicious as the mains. A place to truley dine in the UV.
