This is your typical "chinese restaurant" not much to write home about. We went on a Friday night and sat in the lounge area. Very large area took way longer than it should have for our drinks. We had pu pu platters and they were very large and the food was okay. I probably will not go back a little to grundge for my tastes.

We got take out Chinese food (pork fried rice, egg rolls, boneless spare ribs, chicken fingers, chicken wings, crab rangoon, orange chicken). The food is really good. It's on the pricey side. They don't deliver, which is a bummer.

We were driving through Manchester last week and saw a sign at Bonsai's stating they had haddock specials that evening and decided to give it a try. There was numerous haddock selections at reasonable prices. The food was delicious and plentiful. I will certainly be back to try the Chinese menu. There was a ton of carryout I noticed while we waited for our food, usually a good sign.

If you love great, I mean really great Chinese food you have to come to Bonsai. It is an experience you and your taste buds will never forget. Dine in the bar, watch the game, enjoy free popcorn and cheese and cracker and don't forget to have a Scorpion bowl for 4. (only 1 though) or call a cab. Then once you have taken in the funky interior, met the really kind and caring staff start your order with the handmade Bonsai Ravioli. These come finished at the table with onions and the yummiest dipping sauce (ask for extra you will thank me later for this). Once you have enjoyed your ravioli, move on to the to-die-for shrimp, lightly battered, exquisitely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Compliment this meal with the delicious house rice and you have a meal to remember. Oh and order an extra house rice to go because you will want more of this later or for lunch the next day.
This restaurant doesnt look like much but trust you me, looks are deceiving. Bonsai's fresh tastes and great prices make it easy for you to visit whenever you want. If you dont have a Chinese food lover in the family, no issue here, Bonsai offers a complete menu of American offerings that will satisfy your pickiest eater.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
