This is a comfortable place to eat...feels like a country pub, which I guess it is, in fact, but, dressed up a bit, with a wide variety of interesting menu options....and plenty of excellent drink options. One could hang out quite a while. And, sometimes there is live music.

The dinner side of the restaurant was beautiful, very tastefully decorated. Our waiter was wonderful, very attentive. Our appetizer of roasted brussel sprouts was surprisingly delicious. The stuffed was was perfect is were the side of roasted potatoes and greens. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Didn't try the dessert as we were too full. Definitely will visit again.

Food was terrific! Enjoyed the burgers and cocktails after a long day of fall foliage. Food is all local and worth the money (fairly cheap!). Delicious!

The Beat salad lacked taste and had to many greens. I think it could have benefited from a better dressing. If they keep the greens some walnuts and dried cranberries would be good.

The kale salad is spectacular - I know that that is a hard thing to say about a kale salad but trust me,,, it is. The bartender was very good and I had one of the drinks in their drink menu which was excellent. The place was quiet in the middle of the week which is easy to understand since Lyme is such a small town but the food at the tavern was very good. Their soup of the day was very good as well. The Tavern is getting 5 stars because I tried all three restaurants in Lyme and this is by far the best one.
