“Nice weekend away !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2011

After doing much searching around for somewhere to stay I came across pemi cabins. I had read other reviews which I found to be much split. Some guest liked the cabins others found many faults. After much back and forth I decided to book a long hiking weekend. I found the places to be very accommodating they are pet friendly and very nice people. Since we weren’t set on what trails to hike after the hurricane the couple in the office helped us out tremendously! They were very knowledgeable on what trails were pet friendly and which were even still open. The cabins we had were 12 and 4 ( we had to switch due to our own late booking and the place was full) Cabin 12 had some flaws dirty couch and a few spider webs in the corner, but had a full kitchen(pots and pans included) clean bathrooms , clean lines and towels . The 2 bed room cabin was a good size the shower was very tiny. But CLEAN! No fire place. The second night we stayed in cabin 4 again very clean smaller shower you cannot shave your legs in there ladies! Cabin 4 had a screened in porch overlooking the river and a fireplaces which was very nice to fall asleep to. Over all I think it was well worth the trip. If your looking for a 5 star hotel this is not it. If your looking to go hiking or hit the mountains, while bring the pets along and still have a clean place to rest your head, pemi is the place. Well definitely go back again! Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Room Tip: make sure you get a room with a fireplace. As everything in NH is closed at 7 going home to a fire a...

We stayed at Pemi Cabins three nights and couldn't have been more pleased. Our cabin was clean and stocked with linens, etc. Cable TV, including HBO channel a, kept us busy during a rainy afternoon, and we enjoyed hiking at Franconia Notch State Park when it was clear weather. The fireplace andscreened porch overlooking the Pemi River were added bonuses. we found Pemi Cabins online and are thrilled to have spent three nights of our 15th anniversary trip there. We will be back and will definitely tell our friends. Thanks!

Room Tip: They're all good rooms!

The price was right, and the place fine. We stayed in a lodge room (not a cabin, and not on the river) and still had a very nice stay. The mountains are beautiful, and the location is perfect. I would stay again.

Room Tip: Cabins on the river are probably the best experience.

Ok ladies listen up- I stayed at the cabins last week, Being they are cabins I expected them to be small but the bathroom is very very tiny, no lie, the stall shower was no bigger then 3'x3', no room to shave your legs to even bend without hitting your head on the wall in front of you and I'm an average size woman. Both bedroom floors sloped as well as the beds, not comfortable at all. The screen door did not close all the way, there was about a 1" gap, thank god it wasn't buggy out. As with most hotels now a days they ask that you re use your towels, if you want clean towels you must go to the office which sometimes is closed. They do not clean or come and take the old towels out every day. I was there 3 nights and no towels were ever removed. The rvier behind the cabins is a plus as well as the cabins being centrally located to a lot of attractions. Also everyone in the office was very pleasant. These cabins do need some major updating. Not quite sure how they pass inspection.

We've been staying here on our New Hampshire vacations in fall, winter, and spring for over 25 years, and have never been disappointed. The location in Lincoln is great - convenient to the village, Loon Mountain, and the Kancamagus highway. The cabins are cute and rustic, and we love hearing the sounds of the Pemi River just outside the doors. The owners Kim and Rick are very nice, and always take the time to greet our dachshunds. Many lodgings advertise themselves as "pet-friendly" but then have very restrictive rules - Pemi Cabins are TRULY pet-friendly. Highly recommended!
