I've been to Murphy's more than a handful of times. The food is nicely prepared and tastes great. Having the menu change regularly is nice for frequent visitors and seasonal flavors.

The staff is really responsive and friendly. Great location being steps from the university center. Also, the updated interior this Spring 2018 is also a plus.

My Mother, Son and I are here visiting Dartmouth College and while walking through town stopped to look at the menu of this charming street front restaurant-bar. We presume he was the owner, and very nice gentleman came out to greet us and invite us in. We are so glad we accepted. The staff was friendly, greeting everyone as they walked in, and the food was truly a delight. I had the salmon, my mother had the crab cakes and my son had the pull pork sandwich (huge by any standard) and a side of Mac and cheese that they let him add lobster to. We highly recommend it! It was creamy and delicious. We had started with the calamari whose batter was light and crisp and then ended with the Coffee creme brûlée and cheesecake with blueberry compote. The ambiance was just what we were after, very New England with dark woods, books everywhere and a comfortable feel like you were in the parlor of someone’s home. For all of that food, a few cocktails and an after dinner drink with Coffee we spent about $150 which we felt was reasonable especially with the quality offered. We will definitely return and recommend you do the same!

On our way to Vermont and stopped in Hanover for a bite to eat. We saw a pub and found our spot! Boy was it great. The food selection included some typical pub menu items but with a wonderful twist. We got buffalo wings, which are pretty standard fare but ended up being the best we’d ever eaten. We also got a seafood special, a dish called Ciaopino. It was fresh, light and skillfully prepared. The owner, Nigel, walked around to all of the guests and really made everyone feel like he was an old friend. It was such a nice experience that we might go back on our way back home!

Pleasant spot for a lunch. Offered lunch and breakfast options when we stopped on a Sunday afternoon. Delicious French toast stuffed with creme cheese and strawberries. BTL sandwich.
