Angelina’s is a world class restaurant-no joke.
Really cool location just down from the main drag. In fact, subterranean space that feels special as soon as you walk through the door.
Menu is extensive with traditional offering, and a substantial number of special dishes.
We ordered the scallops wrapped in prosciutto for one of our appetizers, and it was outstanding (and a bargain at $12 for 6 large scallops). Was large enough for a luncheon entree.
The Tuscan bean soup was also excellent with a rich tomato broth loaded with beans, ditalini, and pancetta. Best I have ever had.
Veal saltimbaca was expertly prepared, and fork tender.
The muscles with spicy marina sauce was were both excellent, and enough for a dinner entree (though we appeared for lunch) especially with the included warm and chewy Italian bread.
Salad or pasta is offered with every entree. And you can add a Bolognaise sauce to any shape of pasta for a small up charge. I did, and the dish was rich, loaded with meat, and exquisite.
We happened to just drive by the sign for Angelina’s, and it looked so cool we just decided to try it. Little did we know it was among the most highly rated restaurants in Concord (no small accomplishment given there are over 125 establishments in town).
Staff was welcoming, and our chef was young and talented.
Would recommend Angelina’s without any reservation whatsoever.
