Okay I have to start by saying this place has sentimental value as both my parents helped create the original NH Homecraft Shop, and there's still a section with crafts in it that I'm sure several people would still enjoy. But they've cleared out lots of trees at the site to expose a magnificent view, and they're cooking fantastic seafood. My 2 friends & I all ordered the fried clams - tender & delicious with fresh homemade cole slaw and a goodly amount of french fries. Friendly people, too. Highly recommend it!

We have heard good things about this little restaurant, so decided to try it today. My husand had the clam plate, with onion ring upgrade, and I had the loster roll. Everything was delicious! Love the tractor seat stools - and what a nice view, too.

This is a seasonal restaurant. Seating is very limited. The lobster roll and fried clam dinner are very special. Prices are cry reasonable. There is is table service. You order. At the window and they call you to pickup your order. It is worth the trip.

The food is simple but fine -- we had fried haddock and fried shrimp with coleslaw, fries and local corn.
You can eat outside, or right inside a screen so you can look out over a beautiful view of the NH woods.

We saw the ad for the schoolhouse in one of the visitors guides. Decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by a friendly gal who provided lots of information regarding the menu. Ordered 3 of the lobster rolls, some of their fresh cut french fries and onion rings in addition to a kids grilled cheese and everyone in the group loved their choices. Prices reflected the quality... $72.00 for lunch with our soft drinks. ouch... They do however offer complimentary water, so that may help defer some of your costs. Cute setting "in the treetops". Adorable original old schoolhouse which houses some arts & crafts for sale. Very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Would certainly return if in the area.
