Well this being my first experience with kayaking I have to tell you about 'Paddle the Pemi'. It was an awesome and doing it with 'Paddle the Pemi' provided the best experience. Pricing is fair for the service of shuttling/drop off, pick-up, and equipment rental. Equipment was used, but in excellent condition including the life jackets. They answered every question and did not appear impatient even with what they might perceive as a "silly" question. They had a supply of things that might be forgotten, i.e. sunscreen, bug spray, etc., that could be purchased. A bit pricier than Walmart but not off the wall. Paddle the Pemi is something everyone should do while vacationing in the White Mountains. I wouldn't search or look for another business offering this service as you will find nothing that can meet or exceed the experience you will have with this company. Meeting the company mascot, Baily, was an added bonus! **FYI**, regardless of what time your trip is scheduled for departure, you can stay out all day as long as you are back at the pick-up point for 5PM. They are very serious about this and any later you will incur additional charges. Boiler Dave NH review makes it seems like it is "okay" to stay out a little later, not so. No excuse will be taken for late returns; this is a very reasonable policy as they give you plenty of time on the Pemi; 6+ hours if you leave at the 9:30AM launch for a 2.5 - 3 hr. trip.
