It's a holiday weekend, the last of the true summer days in New England. My family, (including our 10 lb. mutt, Chloe) decided on a last minute trip to NH. I booked this place about 7 hours prior to check-in so, it was not a thought out choice. It's dog friendly so, we gave it a shot.
Upon arrival around 11:00 PM, check in was quick and we got a first floor room at the front of the building and toward the left. The halls do smell a bit strange. The room itself was immaculate. Not a stray hair, no bugs (I THOROUGHLY inspected) , no issues. The room had no odor but, it did have a portable AC which was very noisy (Thank God as my husband snores like Frankenstein). The lobby is basic, nothing fancy and the breakfast is typical hotel style; pancakes, waffles, fruit. The breakfast attendant is a very kind man who was helpful and accommodating towards my daughter. He takes pride in what he does...it's rare these days. Honestly, the woman at check-in and all of the staff were very kind and accommodating. Do not roll in here and expect luxury amenities. This is not a posh property. But, it is clean and serviceable for a short stay. The main perk for me, is the highly dog friendly atmosphere. I love to take our dog with us whenever possible.
