We had an excellent evening. The food was fantastic and the service and atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, occasionally, every 3 or 4 years or so. Last week, we were disappointed.
The first impression is that of a cozy, romantic place. Service is just right, not too formal, not too intrusive. There is a relatively wide choice of half-bottles of wine, which we like. We had a very good Argentinian Malbec for a good price.

The menu shows a wide variety of interesting dishes. Our plates looked inviting when they arrived. But as far as the taste is concerned, we were disappointed.

The roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon were just too spicy. This is not the kind of restaurant where we would think of warning the waiter to go easy on the chilies. The bed of wilted spinach under the crispy duck confit had too much vinegar, and the crispy duck was too crispy. On the other hand, the lamb chops were somewhat tough.

Overall, it was not bad at all, and we enjoyed the evening, we just had come to expect more from this restaurant. Maybe the cook should make more of an effort?

Thoughtfully prepared, interesting menu, warm and profession service.
Old style location could use a bit of updating but all in all a homey, welcoming venue.
We truly enjoyed our evening.

My husband and I have been coming to Reno each year since my son started his PhD program. We thought we had eaten at all the best places but hands down this restaurant is the best Reno has to offer. The cuisine is amazing, the service spot on and the setting is tucked away in a beautiful area of Reno. I can see it is a gem to the locals.

This is an upscale restaurant on the side of 4th Street in Reno with not much around it. We gathered here for a business dinner last week and they were great. We had a reservation for 5, and finally ended up with 8 people, and the staff was great in accommodating our party.

The wine selection is great, and the food is wonderful. The dishes that got great reviews from our table were the duck and the lamb shank. They have a lot of gluten-free entre and desert options which is important to us.
