Let's start with the good things:
The hotel is clean and well maintained
The public areas are good
The room service is good
The food is good
Valet parking is free and fast
Room is well equipped and reasonably sized
Mattress is super comfy

And here's why we won't come back anytime soon:
Our room, 1849, which we made sure after stepping into is nonsmoking room, smelled like an ashtray. We called the reception letting them know even before moving all our stuff in but they said that they have no other two-queen rooms available and suggested to send housekeeping to spray…

So we and our two little kids stayed. The smell didn't get any better throughout the entire stay (3 nights) and after we got home we had to wash all our clothes, especially those that we didn't use as they were at the room all day, as it smelled terribly from cigarettes.

So the potentially great experience was poor due to the smell, and it stayed with us couple of days after checking out while we washed all the clothes we took with us.

Stayed here the last night of a wet ski vacation in South Lake Tahoe. Ended on a high note. Excellent friendly customer service throughout. Awesome happy hour in the Bistro. Very nice casino, with live entertainment. Excellent common area amenities. Nice upscale rooms. Large rooms, great king mattress, crown molding is a nice touch. Good shower. Clean. This is a good option to staying in South Lake. Easy day trip to either north or south Lake Tahoe ski areas.

Room tip: Higher floors have better views. Elevators are fast.

I checked into the Atlantis Hotel on reservations previous made. They did not give me the room promised. They placed me in a floor that was under construction and when I went to check out over the phone the price was higher. They could not correct itor explain why. I had to go down to the desk and complain, they had charged a $30per night upgrade charge! I told them why would I pay for that on a construction area. Desk clerk agreed and apologized. This was unacceptable price switch.

When we first arrive at the Atlantis Casino, we were greeted by a friendly valet, who opened our car door and welcomed us to The Atlantis. When we checked in, we were warmly welcomed by a smiling staff member who was very accommodating. We requested a late check-out and it was immediately approved.

We went to our room and called the bell service to have our luggage sent up. The bell hop showed up a few minutes later with our luggage. He offered to get us ice and stated if there was anything we needed to please let him know.

The room was quiet and very comfortable in every way. The bed was perfect and the amenities were wonderful. There was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and even a small sewing kit in the bathroom. There was coffee, good high speed Wi-Fi and even a pillow menu, but the Atlantis takes this to another level, offering a FULL pillow menu! The maids were friendly, timely in handling requests, and definitely cleaned the rooms from top to bottom.

We ate in every restaurant in The Atlantis Casino and had excellent dining experiences. At the Bistro, we made a meal out of hors d’oeuvres and our waiter, Carmel, was very entertaining. For the guest who likes fine dining, The Steakhouse is the place to eat. Our waiter, Keith, suggested perfectly cooked steaks. In Toucan Charlies Buffet, enjoyed a large variety of succulent dishes and the deserts melted in our mouths. At the Purple Parrot, we were greeted by the hostess, Debbie who was very welcoming, and served by Gabriel, who was very friendly. There, we enjoyed a remarkable breakfast. All the food in all the restaurants was absolutely spectacular, fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price at a luxury hotel.

If you like to gamble, you’re at the right place. Here you’ll find fun gaming tables, great odds and a pleasant atmosphere. You’ll be impressed with the entire staff. They are highly professional, friendly and offer exceptional service.

Our host, Menchie, is like a conductor of a symphony. She anticipates our needs when we check in, makes us feel relaxed, and is the “go to” person we call throughout our stay.

We certainly look forward to staying there again in the future. What a great place!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. we had a room on the 10th floor in the Atlantis Tower and it was very well appointed and the beds were super comfy! The casino itself is very cozy and quiet...lots of greenery and waterfalls...I really loved it. We didn't use the pool or spa area so I can't give a review of that. The buffet was extremely good, minus a few items...(the green chili was terrible!) Best of all the slots were very loose and paid me quite nicely, but then I gave it back on the roulette table. :-) I would highly recommend the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, and I look forward to staying there again soon.
