The Silver Nugget is a very old casino in North Las Vegas. It is not in the best location.I enjoy going to the Nugget because they have good and cheap food. The bar has dollar beers. Most of all, I visit the Nugget because of the friendly staff on hand. The people are very friendly(a thing of the past in many a places). However as stated in some of the other reviews ,there is no Hotel at the Silver Nugget.I would not go by there reviews because they were obviously mistaken.Overall the Nugget is a good place to drink a few beers(be careful North Las Vegas Police are everywhere)and gamble a few bucks.I would not recommend the Sportsbook. The food is cheap and VERY good.Worth a trip, about 2 and a half miles from downtown.

me and my family stayed at the silver nugget , took my kids and me to the bolwing alley, the lane broke down and i asked for refund .. they stated no refunds .. i was shocked the lane broke down and the kids were upset.. the gaurds came and strong armed me and my kids out .. managment said tough luck ... i would never stay at the silver nugget again. we were treated unfairly. dont waste your hard earned money and time. stay at sams town or the texas station . very classy place . cares about customers... please dont remove this listing .

I booked this hotel by stopping in a mini-market in Las Vegas and asking for a recommendation. I was referred this hotel by an older gentleman who said that the cheap hotel I had booked online on the other side of town was not somewhere he would send his daughter with any kind of hope for her safety. Since I was alone, I ditched the $30 hotel room I had and booked at the Silver Nugget. What a paradise of privacy, beauty, comfort, and great food. I found the hotel restaurant very delicious -- and I came back to eat there several times. The casino offers fine service and allows for a variety of activities on the floor. I think there are two restaurants on site. I loved the spacious clean and lavishly furnished room. I was in love with the smaller group at the pool and found the help and guests to be very helpful and friendly. Right before leaving for the airport with my rental car, I lost my key. I was frantic, and the hotel staff bent over backwards to help me find the key, then when I could not find it, they helped me to call numbers for my quick return to the airport. I made my flight. Without their immediate assistance, I would have missed my plane. This hotel is a beautifully quiet and yet wonderfully restful place to stay. I won't stay anywhere else when I go to Vegas. An easy drive to the strip for the louder side of Vegas. This hotel is very nice to come home to at night and is a stone's throw away from the major lights and action downtown. Highly recommended.
