I just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. At best, it is average.
First, the pros: the rooms are large and mostly quiet. Yes, you will hear someone if they let their door slam, but I certainly didn't hear my neighbors' TV or conversations.
Cons: The smell! Oh my god, this place REEKS of cigarette smoke. Supposedly, the only place that smoking is allowed is in their geriatric filled casino. However, the smoke has permeated the entire hotel. I visited the Cosmopolitan Hotel and had to walk through their casino, but it did not have the rank smell of the JW Marriott's casino or hotel space. If you are a smoker, maybe this is a positive, however, if you're not a smoker, you are going to hate this. Another con is the 1980s/1990s decor. It is simply tired.
I am not a fan of Las Vegas, but if someone is, I cannot imagine why they would choose this place. It is a healthy 20-25 minute drive from the strip, the casino is not particularly lively, and the restaurant selection is really poor. In no way does the restaurant selection compare with what is at the Venetian or the Cosmopolitan.
I really cannot recommend this hotel based on the above information. It's not horrible, but there are far better choices available.More
