Stayed just one night at the JW before leaving for our N Rim, Utah National Parks vacation and honestly, it wasn’t a bad stay, but wasn’t outstanding and something to write home about either. One thing we did not like at all about it was the pool closes at 7pm and my 17 yr old son was disappointed with that. Other than that, it was just a place to spend the night.

1. Was told yesterday suite showed available.

2. Was told would confirm if booked.

3. Booked.

4. Called and asked to upgrade as was already checked in online.

5. Rude person said no suites available.

6. Was looking at Marriot app at same EXACT TIME and it showed Junior Suite AND 2 bedroom suite available to book.

7. Rude lady that answered phone transferred me to supposedly the BIG BOSS FOR THE WEEKEND - a very rude condescending person).

8. Told her same. Asked her if I booked the junior suite would she honor the reservation.

9. SHE SAID “WE’LL SEE”!

10. Got to hotel. Refused to honor upgrade OR what availability was showing IN THE MARRIOT APP!

11. Gave me WORST POSSIBLE room facing parking lot! Lowest room type! Only “upgrade” was to the 5th floor.

12. Complained about view. Magically a nice view on same floor facing opposite direction opened up!!!

13. Still lowest room type. Asked for better room type with balcony. Of course was told none available.

14. Maid right outside my room said there was one right in that floor!

15. Complained again. Was asked to leave - WITH MY 13 YEAR OLD WHO WAS HEARTBROKEN!

16. Was told could upgrade for $200!

17. Original difference $80.

18. Numerous 1 BR suites were being blocked by casino VIP. Casino VIP concierge confirmed.

19. At end of day all released and once again available to book online!

NEVER AGAIN!

Not too far from the main strip. Perfect location for those who wants a little bit of both quiet & busy place. Swimming pool is amazing. Our room was big with a hot tub in the bathroom. Free Valet & Self Parking is a plus, Uber & Lyft is everywhere so easy to go around places. They have Starbucks in the property. It was a smooth check in & check out, all front desk staff were friendly specially Lisa. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

What a wonderful surprise - this resort was top notch. Our room (a king bed room) was enormous!!! Bed was super comfy and the bathroom was a big as a bedroom with double sinks and a huge vanity, separate shower and a Jacuzzi tub!!! The Hawthorne restaurant was decorated so beautifully and the food was superb. Julie was our server for Saturday breakfast and did a fantastic job! We also loved the restaurant at the casino and our server, Annie was adorable and did a great job. The pool is gorgeous and the grounds are so pretty with ponds filled with fish!! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room tip: buffet closes at 9 pm so make sure to get there before. If not, there are other restaurants

We stayed here for three days visiting our grandchildren who live in Summerlin. The grounds are a highlight here, away from the Vegas strip frenzy. Our reserved room type was not available, but they gave us an alternate room type at a discount. The cafe is right next to the Rampart Casino and has a distinct smokey smell. Also cannot recommend the Sushi restaurant. Several of the selections at the Monday night all you can eat tasted old and fishy. So why the 4 stars? Room's were nice and spacious and very clean. They are starting to remodel, but still needs a lot of work since it is a '90s era property. Staff were very professional and quite attentive to our requests. The Hawthorn Grill has been recently remodeled and looks quote inviting. We will be checking it out tonite. If you are looking for a quiet place off the strip that doesn't try to rip you off with an exorbitant resort fee (their fee is more reasonable than most) and not charge for parking (latest Vegas trend to separate you from your hard earned money), this hotel is a pretty good choice.
