Great view of lake. Staff friendly and professional. Food fresh and delicious.
We fell in love with the cheese plate. They serve meals all day, but be advised to make reservations for dinner.

As prior reviewers have said, the building and decor are over-the-top fabulous. Stunning. Even better than the Ritz-Carlton at Northstar, which is saying a lot. We had lunch in the Bistro, and it was mixed. We ate in one of the lounge areas overlooking the lake. My daughter and husband had burgers, and they both liked them - though both said they were “not the best burgers we’ve ever eaten.” The buns were toasted, the meat was plentiful and the burgers were accompanied by the usual lettuce and tomatoes. Fries were good, but did not seem to be made from scratch. I had the lobster roll, and here is where things went south. The roll was tough, like it had been microwaved from frozen. The lobster in the filling was watery and soggy and a little tasteless, and I picked out a fair number of shells. The filling had way too much celery, which tended to overpower the lobster. Not sure what herbs were in the filling, but they did not compliment the lobster. So... burgers get 4 stars, lobster roll gets 2, for an average of 3. Servce was excellent, the spicy mango martini was delicious, and the setting is...perfection. You should go.

We had dinner at the Bistro during the summer, and were thoroughly delighted with the experience, so I wanted to go back for my birthday dinner,
Once again the food and service were outstanding. We had our 9 year old grandson along with us, and the staff went out of their way to make sure he had an enjoyable time.
Now for the food- cheese biscuits to die for, wonderful cheese board, and ahi for starters. All great. My husband had the venison, which we all tasted and the verdict was that it was the best we'd ever had. Shrimp and scallops were delicious as well.
We had a selection of desserts that were scrumptious. Chef David is a hands on, passionate guy when it comes to food. All in all it made getting a year older worth it!

Our first night T this resort we tried this restaurant. Beautiful place with 98 % of place empty. So when we walked in they asked if we had a reservation. I said you have got to be kidding, this place is empty. So they sit us next to the only other occupied table in the entire place.

We had a very nice waitress, Wendy, and she constantly checked on us. We started off with a couple cocktails and then ordered two appetizers, the Ahi, and the Smoked salmon on flat bread. We then ordered their mushroom, elk sausage, wild boar salami brick oven pizza. Total for two drinks, two apps, one very small pizza about $90.00 plus tip. We don’t mind paying a premium price for good food, but this stuff was not very good. First the Ahi was only three very small pieces and it was very bland. Tasted as if no seasoning was used. The smoked salmon flat bread was a little better, but no wow factor. It would have been better on a bagel. Then the biggest dissatisfaction was the pizza. When it arrived it was lukewarm. Supposed to have been just out of brick oven. The ingredients on top were pretty tasty but they had cooked the dough so much that it was hard as a rock and tasted like a crunchy powdery cracker. Neither of us were impressed with anything we had.

Will not return. They need to refine their cooking basics and evaluate the overpricing of what we both considered very mediocre food.

There is no reason to look for another place to eat, if you are staying at Edgewood. The Bistrowill give you a good solid experience and the staff are friendly. The kitchen is an integrated part of the restaurant. Everything on the menu card will make you happy.
