There's a difference between North and South Lake Tahoe. If you're aware of the difference, then read on. If not, simply put, the difference is similar to Laughlin and Vegas.
If you're in South Lake Tahoe, you either don't know any better or your standards are low. Or you're all about skiing and just need a place to crash on the South Shore. If you're in North Shore, you enjoy the climate, friendlier people, and the atmosphere. That's what you get at the Crystal Bay Club...friendlier atmosphere and climate.
We went in the room that a friend was staying in and it was simple yet classy. The casino has everything, low starter tables, better payouts than South Shore and even the Strip in Vegas (remember 2 to 1 payouts for blackjacks?).
Every visit here, I'm impressed with the small town friendliness and courtesy of the staff. It's a place you can relax, and that's what North Lake Tahoe is all about...and fun, of course!
