No football such as Sky or BT Sport, 3 miles from any other amenities. Very dark, quiet, elderly feel based around dining. Mattresses soft. Firmly in the food camp. Irony is- I'd've bought dinner and a bottle of wine here if they'd provided BT Sport in the room rather than driving for miles to catch the game.

In a beautiful peaceful hamlet with excellent parking, beautifully cared for rooms, first rate food, an well stocked cellar with very reasonable prices and an attentive, friendly staff. Wi-fi brilliant. We look forward to returning.

Room tip: Try for the Harvest Suite

We stayed two nights as a stop over on the way to Cornwall. Our room was large and comfy, with large bath shower room. The New Inn has a very pretty garden at the rear of the property, just perfect for a relaxing drink or two. Evening meal: A good selection of food on the menu We Can recommend the Steak & Ale Pie. Captain the Parrot gave us a nice welcome, with a loud Hello! Breakfast again a good selection on the menu and well cooked. Staff are welcoming, Good Food, Good Ale. Can't wait for our next stop over!

Room tip: Ask for the room over looking the garden, very nice!

Stayed for 2 nights at this quaint 13th Century Inn as we were attending a Family Wedding nearby. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. Tea and coffee amenities were provided along with bottled water and biscuits. Towels were in abundance and were large, soft, white and fluffy!
We ate in the restaurant on our first night and found the food to be piping hot and delicious especially the sticky toffee pudding for dessert!
The breakfasts were splendid with a vast array of cold and hot items on the menu cooked to order.
The Landlord and Landlady we're welcoming and friendly and we would recommend The New Inn.
