Very cute decor outside and inside.
Rooms were clean and neat.
Breakfast was very good also.
Inside registration area, a large mural stagecoach on wall.
Small Old Western Town nearby, where we had supper,
food was good.

Room floor needed cleaning. Broken toilet chain. But most disappointing, breakfast stopped being served by 9AM. I found that a bit early. Front desk person at check in was very helpful and friendly. Not so much with the morning crew.

Poor location facing the back of a gas station, but look for the stagecoach and you'll find it ok. Very friendly service, unique decor, like a family owned place. Very large kind-of interior courtyard with a variety of places to sit and a playground around the covered pool that's accessed by an enclosed hallway. Beautiful old furniture in room, which may not appeal to some but we thought it was fun. Good hot breakfast and staff kept stocked.

Room Tip: Rooms by pool are loud with children running back and forth.

We booked our room months before we visited and asked for a ground floor unit , however we were put in a upstairs unit. The room smelled musty . The beds could do with upgrading and the furniture is older. Trains wake you early. A bus tour was in and breakfast was packed so we skipped it

Due to all the varied reviews and a cheap special on Hotels.com, we decided to stay at the Travelodge. Though not impressive on the outside- some giant rat traps, cracked side walks, sad curtains, rusty stairs- it's a fine place to stay for the night. The staff were friendly too. It was safe and in a nice location, close to restaurants (like Margaritas- see my other review) and gas stations.

(Some added info- only stairs, and rooms are on outside)

So it's a bit beat up on the outside and some of the furniture inside was aging, but it was clean, comfortable, and safe. Those are our basic needs and those were met. Not shabby. Not wonderful, but that's not the kind of hotel anyway. So it was just what we needed on our long commute from here to there.
