We arrived, there were a couple of miserable, exhausted looking waiters who greeted us unsmilingly. We sat and waited and eventually a menu was peremtorily produced without a word. I ordered a bruschetta which came on burnt toast, watery tomatoes and bitter tasting olive oil. I told the waiter it was not good and he agressively asked why. I described the above and he said nothing just removed it from the table, no apology, no offer of an alternative. After a few minutes we decided to leave and asked him to cancel our next courses. He said they were cooked and we'd have to pay for them. They duly appeared so we complied by eating them and they were very poor. We then paid the bill, except for the bruschetta and he chased us down the street swearing at us about the English. Our only bad experience of people and food in our week touring Sicily.
