This was to be our big splurge of our trip, $341.00 at the Lodge. It turns out it was in a basement area, so small that it didn't even have 1 chair. The water was either ice or scalding. We complained and they took off 25% which brought it down to another unreasonable amt. Our advice is to ask a lot of questions to know what you AREN'T going to get!

Pros: Our stay at yellowstone lodge was pleasant. Rooms were neat and clean as seen in the photos. Convenient place to travel to and from the Yellowstone national park.

Cons: The free continental breakfast offered during the stay could have been better. Not many options to choose from.

Overall our stay was pleasant.

To be fair, I stay at hotels and motels alot for work. I feel fairly well versed in the travelling lifestyle. This hotel was not worth the over $300/night rate they charge. Allow me to explain.

Pros:
Location is very close to West gate and the wonderful little town of West Yellowstone.
Staff at check in very nice and it was quick and easy.
Parking free

Cons:
the facility is in need of renovation and its obvious from main area to the rooms
No hot water at 10pm -- told a lot of guests using the water & to try in 30 mins! What?!? Never, ever, has this been a problem at any facility
Bathroom was "clean" but floor sticky assuming due to improper rinsing or cleaning products used??
No amenities for the 2 room $303/night except microwave and small fridge. Absolutely a regular, budget type room except the 2nd bed was in adjoining area.
Free breakfast was free but is really an expanded continental breakfast. Eggs were fake and actually quite bad. The serving area seemed to me to be a wreck. Possibly staff busy that morning but trash overflowing and counters were not being kept clean and wiped down while we were there for 45 mins.
So, bottom line, it is very very overpriced. You can do better in the area. Staff is fine, this is a facility problem in my humble opinion. And, to reiterate, I do stay at hotels and motels alot.

This was about the only place we found that would let us leave our dog in her cage while we went to view Old Faithful. They even had a dog to help welcome guests if guest was amenable! Room was nice; breakfast good! Staff was especially nice and helpful!

It's exactly what you read and that worked perfectly for us after 4 days in Yellowstone. Despite staying in park at premium properties, we felt more relaxed and cared for at Yellowstone Lodge. The pool and jacuzzi spa is simple, clean with bright lighting that allows whole family enjoyment. Continental Breakfast is enhanced by eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pre-made waffles and canned fruit. Location permits easy walking access to all of the fun activities, shopping and restaurant dining in town.
