It's been a few years since I stayed in West Yellowstone, and I have never stayed in a motel there before. My husband and I were seriously impressed! While small, the rooms are probably the cleanest we've stayed in and they feel more like a private guest house or cabin than a public motel. We only stayed one night (VERY close to the end of the season) but thanks to the owners being very helpful and informative, we were able to have some lovely meals in town and even fit in a short hike. If we ever go through West Yellowstone again, we know where we'll be staying!

(Side note: the heaters they have are completely insane. I am ALWAYS cold, but these were so toasty that I actually had to turn them down. That never, ever, EVER happens and I was soooooo happy)

Room Tip: Ask the owners for suggestions; they are both very friendly and helpful

We don't ever stay in motels, but after reading reviews of this place we booked two nights. It was truly an exception. Our room was exceptionally clean, the owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. They even walked us to our room. This motel is owned by a very nice husband and wife who manage it so well. They do it all! The room was roomy, the furnishings quaint. The bed comfortable. And the room rate was very inexpensive. The only negative was the shower. It was very, very tiny, but clean and had a nice showerhead. We would go back here in a heartbeat.

Brian, the owner of the Alpine Motel, is on the job! He has such a friendly, genuine manner. When we arrived tired and cold, he helped us settle into our room and recommended local restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The room was simple, but immacculate with all the basic necessities. The motel is centrally located,so you can easily walk around the town. In short, very good accommodations at a fair price. Looking forward to another trip to Yellowstone National Park followed by a stay at the Alpine Motel.

After reading one great review after another we decided to book our last three nights of vacation at the Alpine Motel from October 11th through the 14th. Owners Brian and Patty were most gracious hosts offering valuable information on interesting sites, best trails to hike in Yellowstone and places to dine. There were even additional snacks and beverages in the lobby for guests. We stayed in the upstairs unit with a full kitchen and could not have been more comfortable with ample space and cleanliness. Patty walked us up and showed us how to use everything and offered us hers and Brian's assistance should we need anything else during our stay. Brian even cleaned the snow and ice off of our vehicle before we departed on our final day! We were extremely happy with our stay and will be sure to recommend this gem of a motel to friends who are planning to visit West Yellowstone in the future. Thank you!!

Room Tip: Upstairs units offer more space

The personal service of the owners just can't be faulted. We were shown how everything worked at the start. Given tips on where to eat etc.
Muesli bars provided in the office along with chocolate snaks (not much but more than anywhere else we have stayed this trip).

The location is in the centre of town, handy to most things.

The room was not large. The room itself was fine, warm (it was nice to have a constant warmth all night given it dropped to -2degC over night (the temperature can be adjusted)), exceptionally clean and adequate size (not large or small, like Goldilocks said, just right).
The heating stays on all day so when you get in it is a warm haven.
The toilet shower space was OK but wouldn't suit a 'large' person. The toilet worked (as you'd expect) and the shower was great (plenty of pressure and hot water, hard to get out of as it was so nice).

We didn't use the TV but they had just about every channel around and some movies.

I'd stay here again (we had 3 nights) and will recommend to friends that they do the same without hesitation.
